This spell strips a unbonded Wonder or a mortal creature that is imbued with an Arcane, Primal, or Ethereal Essence of one such essence. To strip an essence from an unattended, unbonded Wonder, the caster must succeed at a Spell Craft check with a difficulty of 15 + the highest HD of mortal creature previously bonded to the Wonder. To strip an essence from an attended Curio or unbonded Wonder, the caster must succeed at a Spell Craft check with a difficulty of 30 + Curio’s CL or the highest HD of mortal creature previously bonded to the Wonder. To strip an essence from a mortal, the caster must succeed at a Spell Craft check with a difficulty of 30 + the mortal’s HD.

On a successful check, this spell strips the most recently imbued essence from the target. That character or item loses all benefit or abilities derived from that essence as it is drawn into the hand of the caster. This spell has no effect on the Essences that a magical creature naturally possesses that power its magical or supernatural abilities. To extract those essences the creature must be dead and Extract Essence can be used.
