A floating hand appears at a point you choose within range. The hands lasts for the duration or until you dismiss it as an action. The hand vanishes if it is ever out of range from you or if you cast this spell again.

You can use an action to control the hand. You can use the hand to manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, slow or retrieve an item from an open container, or pour the contents out of a vial. You can move the hand up to 30 feet each time you use it. The hand can’t attack, activate magic items, or carry more than 10 pounds.

Roll 1d6: (1-3) minor corruption; (4-5) major corruption; (6) greater corruption.

Misfire

Roll 1d6: (1) the mage hand fades after beginning task, dropping item or failing task loudly; (2) the mage hand fails at the task, breaking a carried item or otherwise damaging the thing it is manipulating; (3) the mage hand explodes in a burst of energy causing 1d4 hp damage to caster; (4) the mage hand explodes in a burst of energy causing 1 hp damage to caster and the caster’s hands melt away for 1d4 rounds; (5) the mage hand explodes in a burst of energy causing 1 hp damage to caster and the caster’s hands melt away for 15 minutes; (6) the mage hand explodes in a burst of energy causing 1d4 hp damage to caster and the caster’s hands melt away for 1 hour.

The spell lasts for concentration and then for 1 additional minute.
32+ The mage hand is an ethereal extension of your own hand. You can use an action to control the hand. You can use the hand to manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, slow or retrieve an item from an open container, pour the contents out of a vial, activating magic items or any task that may requires delicate maneuvers, such as writing, picking pockets. You can move the hand up to 45 feet each time you use it to a maximum range or 120 feet from you. The hand can’t carry more than 50 pounds. You can use the hand to wield any weapon with which you are proficient and attacks using your proficiency bonus and spell casting attribute bonus. The spell lasts for concentration and then for 1d4 additional minutes.
